We’ve received reports that door-to-door sales representatives are claiming to sell solar panels on behalf of Harrisonburg Electric Commission (HEC). The sales representatives direct people to our solar programs (Net Metering and Friendly City Solar) for more information, but are not affiliated with HEC.

Please note that HEC does not endorse or partner with any solar installers.  If you are visited by someone inquiring about installing solar panels on your home and are claiming to be affiliated with HEC, we recommend that you do not engage. Dominion Net Metering does not apply in the City of Harrisonburg.
