Utility Deposit Assistance Program (UDAP)
The Utility Deposit Assistance Program (UDAP) allows full-time James Madison University Students to have electric service without paying a security deposit. The UDAP contract costs $35
and expires on May 31. Students who need electric service after May 31 must purchase a new UDAP.
If you wish to participate in this program you need to:
- Be a full-time degree seeking JMU student in good standing (no holds).
- Purchase UDAP contract on line @ http://udap.jmu.edu
- Apply for electric service at our office, over the phone, through the mail or by e-mail.
Students on the UDAP program are required to keep their electric bills paid on time. The UDAP contract can also be used at the City of Harrisonburg for water and sewer and with Columbia Gas for gas services.
