The Landlord Program is designed for owners and/or managers with rental property. Participation in this program will ensure service is always available at your rental unit without the need to call or visit our office each time a tenant vacates.
To participate you will need to complete the Landlord Service Agreement Form for each apartment/unit you want to place under this agreement. This will not be a seasonal program. When you complete the Landlord Service Agreement Form, it will be in effect year-round.
If service is disconnected for non-payment and tenant vacates the premises after termination for non-payment, the landlord will have to call our office to have service placed in their name for that apartment/unit. The landlord may complete a request for service form to have service placed in their name for that apartment/unit.
Harrisonburg Electric Commission is pleased to offer this service to our customers and believe it will benefit you, the customer and our utility with savings of both time and money.
