Payment OptionsIn PersonYou may pay your electric bill in person by visiting the Harrisonburg Electric Commission office between 8:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. We are closed Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Please return this portion with your payment in the pre-addressed envelope included with your bill, payable to Harrisonburg Electric Commission. Please put your account number on your check or money order. For your protection, do not send cash through the mail.
Our mailing address is: Bank DraftHarrisonburg Electric Commission offers electronic transfer from your bank, savings and loan, or credit union account. You can receive a regular monthly bill for your review and, on the date the bill is due (normally 20 days from the billing date), the amount of the bill will be automatically deducted from your bank account. The Bank Draft Option eliminates the need to worry about late payment charges, paying a bill when you are out of town, and added costs of checks and postage. Harrisonburg Electric Commission does not charge for this service. If you are a new customer with the Harrisonburg Electric Commission enrolling in the Bank Draft Option, half of the standard residential deposit is required when applying for service. You must enroll in the program immediately upon applying for service and remain on the program for the duration of 12 successful drafts. Failure to do so will result in a deposit charge to your account. Your signature on the form below signifies your agreement to remain on the Bank Draft Option for one year. If you are interested in the Bank Draft Option, simply print out and complete the PDF below and mail it, along with a voided check, to Harrisonburg Electric Commission, 89 West Bruce Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801-3699.

You will be notified on your bill when the Bank Draft Option becomes effective. You will need to notify Harrisonburg Electric Commission in writing to discontinue this service.
